Our extensive range of workshops is aimed at people with an interest in culture, with or without disabilities, at beginners, and at professional cultural practitioners who wish to deepen their practice.

Across a range of artistic disciplines, participants can discover new forms of expression, develop their skills and collaborate on artistic projects and research. The workshops are led by experienced national and international artists, experts and mentors, both with and without disabilities. They combine artistic practice with empowerment, mutual learning and exchange.

Our program comprises two formats:

WORKSHOP – Beginner

These workshops are aimed exclusively at people with disabilities who wish to gain their first experiences in the arts. The one-day workshops offer an accessible introduction to creative practice and enable participants to make initial contact with various forms of artistic expression in a safe environment. The aim is to open up initial or new avenues into different art forms and to lay the foundations for potential further artistic development.

WORKSHOP – Advanced

These workshops are aimed at creative professionals with artistic experience – with or without disabilities. Over the course of several days, participants work together on artistic techniques, creative ideas or new projects. In doing so, they develop not only their artistic skills but also their abilities in collaboration, project development, empowerment and leadership.

WORKSHOP:media, sound, peformance with Marco Donnarumma

7–10 November 2026: Perception as a Field of Multitudes – this workshop uses sensors, biosignals and performative experiments to explore what is possible as an artistic practice beyond the ‘normal’ body. A workshop with the Italian artist Marco Donnarumma for (semi-)professional artists.

WORKSHOP:acting with Leonard Grobien

20 September 2026: In this one-day workshop, you’ll gain an authentic insight into the world of theatre: under the guidance of actor and filmmaker Leonard Grobien, you’ll discover the basics of acting through simple exercises and learn how to bring emotions, stories and characters to life on stage. An introductory workshop for people with disabilities who are interested in acting.

WORKSHOP:dance with Kayla Hamilton

On May 28, Un-Label invites you to a WORKSHOP: Dance with Kayla Hamilton. We will explore dance improvisation from the perspective of lived experiences of disability. Accessibility is the starting point of all artistic work here. The workshop is led by Kayla Hamilton, a performance artist, dancer, and cultural worker from New York.

WORKSHOP:dance with Dr Kate Marsh

From 2 to 5 May, Un-Label invites you to the WORKSHOP:dance with Dr Kate Marsh at the Un-Label Studio. Participants will explore improvisation-based working methods, access as a creative principle, and new forms of artistic collaboration together. Workshop “Community Music”

On 1 March 2026, the Community Music workshop invites people of all ages to explore sounds, improvise, and bring musical ideas to life together in an open, inclusive space – your own instruments are welcome, and loan instruments are available.

Workshop „Electric Kitchen”

On 28 February 206, the workshop “Electric Kitchen” invites people with and without musical experience to experiment together in an inclusive setting with electronic and analogue sounds, which will be collected and mixed live, and presented like a musical menu.

Masterclass “From Idea to Performance” with Nickie Miles-Wildin

October 19 and 20, 2024: How can a creative idea be brought to the stage in a simple yet powerful way? And how can it be made as accessible and inclusive as possible for people with different disability perspectives? In this masterclass, renowned British theatre-maker Nickie Miles-Wildin will demonstrate how initial impulses can be playfully and experimentally developed into vivid stories that come to life through theatrical means.

Masterclass “Easy Language”

December 7 and 8, 2024: Users of Easy Language are often not considered in theater productions and are therefore rarely part of cultural events. In this masterclass, an inclusive team led by Anne Leichtfuß will teach the basics of Easy Language for plays and then focus on aspects of accessibility in various areas of production.

Masterclass “Word and Play” with Johanna Kappauf and Nele Jahnke

14 and 15 June 2025: The two-day masterclass “Word and Play” with speakers Johanna Kappauf and Nele Jahnke combines intuitive writing methods with playful improvisation, inviting participants to rediscover their own languages.

Masterclass “Corporale” with Aristide Rontini

27 and 28 September 2025: In this masterclass, Aristide Rontini shares insights and practices that have shaped the creative process behind his performance: How can we build a network in which everyone can transmit and receive — free of hierarchy?

Masterclass ”Visual Vernacular” with Giuseppe Giuranna

13 and 14 December 2025: In this masterclass Giuseppe Giuranna will share practical insights into Visual Vernacular – a unique visual storytelling technique deeply rooted in Deaf culture.

Masterclass “The Knowing Body” with Diana Niepce

10 and 11 May 2025: The Knowing Body is an intensive two-day masterclass with portuguese artist Diana Niepce focusing on improvisation, body awareness, and the relationship to space. It invites participants to engage with the unknown, question physical and mental boundaries, and explore new forms of expression. The body as a state of possibility.

Masterclass „Aesthetics of Access through digital art“ with Max Schweder

11. and 12. May 2024: Un-Label founding member Max Schweder researches digital art for stages and access for artists and audiences with disabilities. On May 11 and 12, the media artist will offer a practice-oriented overview of the “Aesthetics of Access” in digital art.
