Title: Between Acting and Storytelling
Facilitator: Actor, Performer & Filmmaker Leonard Grobier
Date: September 20, 2026 (Sunday), 11am – 5pm
Location: Un-Label Studio
Language: German Spoken Language
About
In our one-day workshop, you will gain a creative insight into the world of theatre. Led by the experienced actor, performer and filmmaker Leonard Grobien, you will discover the basics of acting through simple exercises and learn how to bring emotions, stories and characters to the stage.
At the heart of the workshop lies the question: what stories would the participants themselves like to tell? Together, we will explore how acting can also be a form of storytelling and “writing” – without pen and paper. Through improvisation, playful exercises and creative experiments, we will try out different ways of inventing stories, developing characters and bringing scenes to life.
We will also discover what acting actually is, what it means to be an actor, and how important team spirit, listening and group dynamics are in theatre. At our own pace, we will develop a sense of expression, stage presence and collaborative performance.
“To be or not to be – that is the question.” – W. Shakespeare
No need to worry – in this workshop we will start very gently. With small warm-up exercises and simple improvisations, we will approach acting at a pace that suits us. Fun, experimentation and shared discovery are at the centre of the experience.
The workshop is aimed at people with disabilities who have no previous experience and who would like to be creative, try something new and gain their first experience of acting in an open and welcoming atmosphere. The focus is on enjoyment of performance, experimentation and discovering things together.
