The Workshop “Community Music”

Immerse yourself in a day full of shared sounds, new encounters and creative discoveries! Our Community Music Workshop invites people of all ages and musical backgrounds – whether beginners, curious amateur musicians or experienced instrumentalists with or without disabilities – to make music together.

What is Community Music? Quite simply, it is access to music and music-making for all people. It is based on the belief that diversity and individual abilities, interests and backgrounds are important and valuable for making music together. For one day, we will explore different ways of making music together, with plenty of breaks to take a breather, chat and settle in. The focus is on enjoyment, togetherness and the courage to try new things. We will improvise, listen to each other, develop small musical ideas and use them to create something together. The workshop is open to everyone, regardless of previous experience, age or musical style.

Feel free to bring your own instruments if you have them. Instruments are available to borrow on site. No one needs to be able to play or own anything to take part!

When booking your ticket, please indicate whether you would like to bring instruments and, if so, which ones.

The workshop is aimed at professional and semi-professional artists with and without disabilities from the performing arts.

Lucca is committed to opening stages in the professional music world to inclusivity, as he himself lives with a physical disability. He also plays in the Philipp Kammer Quartet, the big band of the Rheinische Musikschule Köln (RMS Jazzorchester), and occasionally in the inclusive band Vollgas Connected from Fürth.
