We are very pleased to be one of ten organizations selected for the new “Starke Demokratie” (Strong Democracy) donation fund by PHINEO and bcause.
Last year, our Access Maker project was awarded the PHINEO-Wirkt-Siegel 2025. The seal is based on an independent impact analysis conducted by PHINEO, which evaluates projects according to their impact logic, conceptual quality, governance, and transparency. Learn more here.
Out of the 37 organizations that PHINEO has awarded the Wirkt-Siegel in the areas of discrimination and disinformation, PHINEO has now selected ten pilot organizations for a new strategic donation fund: the bcause-PHINEO “Starke Demokratie” Donation Fund. The fund pools donations and channels them specifically to these vetted organizations.
The donation fund uses a progressive funding model: needs-based, trust-based, and impact-oriented. This means greater leverage, less administrative burden, and more flexibility for the funded organizations. PHINEO ensures that donations are used to achieve maximum social impact. bcause handles the digital processing of donations.
The fund is a pilot project: PHINEO and bcause are using it to test a new funding model, learn together with donors and organizations, and further develop the fund based on these insights.
We are very grateful for the trust placed in our work!
Anyone wishing to donate can do so directly through bcause. All information and FAQs about the fund can be found on the PHINEO overview page.
