Masterclass with Rafael-Evitan Grombelka: How can art, poetic texts and poetry in sign language be expressed on stage? This workshop will teach you how to use German Sign Language (GSL) with its four parameters (hand shape, hand position, movement, place of execution on the body) poetically and artistically and how to integrate it into your performances.
Rafael-Evitan Grombelka (Instagram: evitan) is a deaf actor, sign language interpreter, slammer, poet and presenter. He won the “Best Actor” award at the German Sign Language Theater Festival in 2006 and 2022, and has appeared in several productions of the German Deaf Theater and various films. With sign poetry he combines facial expressions, gestures and gestures to bring his inner world of thoughts to the outside and to inspire his audience.
