The story of Un-Label began ten years ago: at kitchen tables that had been converted into offices. Years later, it was possible to rent office space. It took a few more years until – though on a project basis – at least 1.3 jobs subject to social insurance contributions were made possible. Now the next quantum leap for Un-Label is on the horizon: The Un-Label Studio. At the beginning of October, the project Lab for Inclusive Culture will begin, in the context of which we will open the Un-Label Studio at the beginning of 2024. Un-Label will have its own barrier-free location with rehearsal and seminar rooms, offices, storage space and a spacious garden in the middle of Cologne-Ehrenfeld. In the coming years, Un-Label Studio will open its doors as a barrier-free rehearsal space for the independent scene, invite artists with disabilities to residencies, offer masterclasses with top-class international artists. We are confident that the Un-Label Studio will become a community hub for moving art and culture.
