open excess – Jazz Ensemble

As spontaneous as jazz itself, the 3 musicians of open excess came together for the first time for the RoboLab Festival 2021 in Cologne’s Odonien and discovered their common fascination for spontaneously created music. Their trademark is their overflowing and jofully humorous style, playing pieces by Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Roy Hargrove and their own compositions. For their concerts they always invite various guest musicians.

About the musicians
The pianist and composer Lucca Keller is a colorful dog of the NRW jazz scene. People know him. He is a stylish border crosser who likes to break away from harmonic guidelines, which he proves with his current solo CD “mood of regrowing.” The list of his collaborations is endless.
