Never stop to unlearn.

Theresa Heußen studied Media and Cultural Studies as well as German Language and Literature at the University of Cologne. From her studies, she transitioned seamlessly into work as (creative) production manager in the independent performing arts. Since 2018, she has been working with the Cologne theatre collective Futur3, both in project implementation and structural development. From 2018 to 2025, she held various roles at the Impulse Theatre Festival, most recently focusing on coordinating international visitor programs and accessibility measures. From 2019 to 2025, she was co-leader of the production team for Düsseldorf Festival!, with a focus on mentoring and training newcomers in cultural production. Since 2021, she has also been involved with produktionsbande – network of performing arts producers, and has been a board member since 2022. At Un-Label, Theresa strengthens the team as project manager of the Access Maker project.

Theresa is hard to rattle: deeply relaxed, she keeps an overview, ensures smooth processes, and brings an unpretentious lightness to her work.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring unknown paths by bike, improvising at the stove, or working on her own furniture—usually largely without a plan or instructions.
