Inklusive Kunstlabore

Inklusive KUNSTLABORE (Inclusive ARTLABS) is an artistic training and networking programme for people with and without disabilities who are interested in the arts or are already working as artists. At the Un-Label Studio, spaces for artistic learning, exchange and self-directed work are created in the fields of theatre, dance, music and spoken word. Experienced mentors with disabilities support the participants, by combining artistic practice with empowerment and leadership.

The programme is aimed both at people with no prior artistic experience and at artists and cultural practitioners who wish to further develop their work. The aim is to give more people with disabilities access to art and culture and to raise their profile as active contributors to the cultural sector.

In low-threshold, one-day introductory workshops, participants can explore various forms of expression, gain confidence in their own creativity and familiarise themselves with artistic working methods. In multi-day professional workshops, small groups work intensively on artistic techniques, project ideas and their own artistic positions. In addition to artistic development, the focus is also on self-efficacy, understanding of roles and career prospects.

Inklusive KUNSTLABORE fills an important gap, as many artistic training and further education programmes remain difficult for people with disabilities to access. The programme facilitates professional development, peer-to-peer exchange, peer learning and networking, whilst opening up long-term opportunities in the cultural sector. Participants become part of a growing network that offers support and connections even beyond the duration of the labs.

In this way, the project helps to strengthen cultural participation, break down barriers and promote a more diverse cultural landscape.
