Nils Rottgardt

Portrait of Nils Rottgardt, a white man in his forties. He has short blonde hair and wears a short beard, a light brown leather jacket, and a light blue flat cap.

One must operate with art on the open heart.

Nils Rottgardt studied Cultural Work at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, Applied Theatre Studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen, and is a trained special needs social worker. He has a chronic, non-visible disability.

As a freelance curator, producer, and artist, he develops and realizes cross-disciplinary art and cultural projects. A particular focus of his practice lies in exploring the artistic method of “Aesthetics of Access.”

From 2016 to 2022, Nils was CEO of Leib + Seele Productions, a production company specializing in the intersection of film, media, and inclusion. In 2020, he founded the inclusive production festival RoboLAB, and since 2023 he has been working freelance for Un-Label as artistic director, strategic project, and network developer.

Nils brings a mix of energy, clear thinking, and visionary curiosity. He is someone who not only recognizes potential but immediately gives it direction and momentum – a true catalyst who drives projects forward with enthusiasm and depth. Recently, he has also discovered a passion for the renovation of wooden houses.
