Kai Kullen
Who always does what he already can, always remains what he already is.
Kai Kullen is a freelance Art Director based in Köln Kalk. After training as a graphic designer in Ulm, he studied Design at KISD in Cologne and Art in Krakow. In addition to experience in advertising and event agencies, he has worked especially for publishing houses such as ZEIT Verlag, Enorm, and the art magazine at G+J. His current work focuses on corporate design, print media, and magazine design, including projects for Cologne Cathedral and the Bonn Institute. In the cultural and inclusive sector, he has worked for DIN A 13 and the Sommerblut Festival, among others. Alongside this, he has taught typography and design fundamentals at various schools. Since 2012, Kai has volunteered on the art advisory board of Kunst-Station Sankt Peter Cologne, curating exhibitions of contemporary art.
For many years, he has passionately supported Un-Label as a freelance creative mind and designer for the organization’s entire visual identity – including logos, posters, flyers, and giveaways.
He finds balance between creation, art, and culture through hiking in Saxon Switzerland or ice skating on Swedish lakes.
