Immanuel Bartz

Portrait of Immanuel Bartz. A white person perceived as male with brown hair, which lies in a short fringe across the forehead. He smiles and wears a white sweater and a delicate chain with colorful beads.

Art becomes human when it excludes no one.

Immanuel Bartz has been accompanying the independent performing arts for many years as a freelance dramaturg and producer. In 2011, he created his first directorial work A Hunger Artist, followed by RADAR (2014), which, among others, was invited to the international theatre festival SKUPI in Macedonia in 2015. From 2017 to 2022, he was dramaturg and artistic production manager of the Arabic-speaking collective Ma’louba and contributed to the curation of the festival Culture of Diversity – Opportunities of Changing Perspectives in 2021. Since 2022, he has been working in various artistic constellations, including with kainkollektiv, Nassim Soleimanpour Productions, undBorisundSteffi, and HARTMANNMUELLER. At Un-Label, he works freelance as a senior producer and dramaturg, contributing not only his dramaturgical and strategic expertise but also his know-how in diversity-sensitive production processes.

Immanuel is particularly distinguished by his attentiveness and genuine interest in people and ideas. Thanks to his warm and empathetic nature, working with him rarely feels like work.

Alongside his work with Un-Label, he enjoys viewing the world from above while paragliding whenever possible.
