Patrick Waldmann
The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination.
Born and raised in Düsseldorf, Patrick Waldmann studied Film and Television Cinematography at the FH Dortmund under Adolf Winkelmann, Klaus Helle, and Axel Block. After graduating, he initially worked as a cinematographer on music videos, feature films, and documentaries – collaborating with, among others, Esther Gronenborn, Martin Walz, Christian Theede, Christoph Schlingensief, and Günter Wallraff.
Today, depending on the requirements and scope of each project, he works as executive producer, director, and cinematographer on documentary formats for Arte, WDR, ZDF, and ARD.
His focus lies on interpersonal, psychological, and political subjects, alongside educational formats and classic corporate/image films.
