“Musabilty-Lab”<\/em> – Masterclass on the 3 and 4 November 2018 <\/strong><\/p>\n How can we find more inclusive and accessible ways to enjoy musicality, making music, sound in combination with other performing arts for both creators and recipients? We will experiment with restrictions and barriers, reflect on experiences and use your ideas and qualities to generate a catalogue of visions, perspectives, coordinates, methods and expressive forms. This catalogue may inspire us to find more inclusive ways to create and convey music and sound in the performing arts. We will use the studio as a lab to experiment, create and muse in order to question and define our inclusive musical ideals more clearly.<\/p>\n Born in 1972, Markus \u201cBe\u201d Brachtendorf has been exploring his love for intersections and boundaries since the mid-90s. Music and music productions are at the heart of his work. Besides promoting artistic expression, he has been working in the fields of musical, social and special education as well as therapy. He cooperates with the Cochlea Implant Centre of the University Hospital Cologne in conducting musical workshops for children, teenagers and adults that use cochlear implant devices. Alles mit dem Ziel unsere musikalisch-inklusiven Ideale zu pr\u00e4zisieren aber auch kritisch zu hinterfragen.\r\n\r\nSeit Mitte der 90er Jahren arbeitet Markus \u201eBe\u201c Brachtendorf, geboren 1972, am liebsten in Schnittmengen und Grenzbereichen. Im Zentrum steht Musik und Musikproduktion, Zielsetzungen bewegen sich neben k\u00fcnstlerischem Ausdruck im Bereich Musik-, Sozial-, Heilp\u00e4dagogik bis hin zu Therapie. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Cochlea Implant Zentrum der Uniklinik K\u00f6ln f\u00fchrt er Musikworkshops mit Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen CI-Tr\u00e4gerInnen durch.\r\nAls Multiinstrumentalist und Produzent arbeitet er mit unterschiedlichsten K\u00fcnstlern in seinem Tonstudio (Tonstudio Be, K\u00f6ln-Deutz) kreativ an ihren Produktionen. Im Bereich Musik- & Medienproduktion mit mobilen Endger\u00e4ten und Apps doziert er f\u00fcr den VdM (Verband der Musikschulen) und anderen Ausbildungsinstituten. \nThe producer who plays multiple instruments has helped all kinds of artists with their creative productions in his recording studio (Tonstudio Be, Cologne Deutz). He is a lecturer for music and media productions using mobile end devices and apps for the Association of German Music Schools (VdM) and other educational institutions. In his role as musical director for the mixed-abled performing arts company Un-Label, Markus engages with international artists, in particular musicians, and the artistic team at eye level to explore in a participatory manner how apparent restrictions and limitations can be used to expand artistic expression.<\/p>\n
