LABOR: A Multisensory Guidance System for the Orangerie Theater

June 16, 2026: How can as many people as possible find their way around public spaces? The “LABOR:leitsysteme” project, a collaboration between Un-Label, the Technical University of Cologne, and the Orangerie Theater, is developing a multisensory wayfinding system for the theater grounds. On June 16, students will present their prototypes at the Orangerie Theater. Everybody who’s interested is welcome!

25 September, 2026, at Un-Label Studio Cologne: Create accessible culture with sign language! In this training course with Rafael-Evitan Grombelka and Konstanze Bustian, you will learn how interpreters can be successfully integrated into performative processes, how to reach potential deaf visitors, and what appropriate, respectful communication with them and with deaf artists and colleagues can look like.

New Residency: Carlie Schoonees / I eat men like air

In February and March 2026, the composer Carlie Schoonees is in residence at the L.I.K. – Laboratory for Inclusive Culture. At the Un-Label Studio, she is developing her new composition I Eat Men Like Air, a solo percussion piece exploring female rage as a physical, embodied, and often suppressed force.
