ALL In: Aesthetics and Methods in Inclusive Performing Arts

This symposium focuses on the conditions for designing inclusive artistic work, specifically in dance and (music) theatre, and its aesthetic opportunities. During lecture performances, workshops and rehearsal visits we want to raise the following questions: What new methods and ways of expression are created in the artistic work of mixed-abled dance and (music) theatre companies? How do they promote diversity among the audience? How do assistive devices become stylistic devices and what is the role of new technologies?
The symposium invites artists and arts professionals from dance and (music) theatre, representatives of cultural and educational organisations as well as the interested public to find out about the work of international artists and arts professionals and to enter into dialogue with each other.
